When choosing roofing materials, many people are concerned about whether UPVC roof panels are heat-resistant. However, there's no need to worry, as they're quite stable in everyday heat.


This product utilizes multi-layer co-extrusion technology, resulting in exceptional durability in natural environments and stable heat resistance in most climates.


The heat deflection temperature of UPVC roof tiles are approximately 70°C, and they maintain their shape even after six hours at 72°C, without softening or sticking. Their normal operating temperature range extends from -30°C to 60°C, making them suitable for extreme temperature fluctuations in most regions.

 

Modern technology enhances their heat resistance through a triple-layer protection system: UV absorbers absorb over 90% of harmful rays, preventing degradation from prolonged sun exposure; a material that reduces material damage, and a layer acting as a "protective shell" for even greater durability. Even after years of simulated sun exposure, they retain over 80% of their strength. A new formula, available in 2025, will raise the heat deflection temperature to over 85°C, significantly expanding their application areas.

 

However, caution is advised in high-temperature regions. During hot weather, the roof surface temperature may approach its thermal limit. It is important to allow for expansion and contraction clearance to prevent damage to the panels due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Overall, UPVC resin roof sheets perform well in most temperate climates. With proper design, they can achieve a service life of up to 30 years, making them an ideal choice for balancing cost and performance.
